Distance is a logistics problem, not a design problem. We have made gowns for brides who visited the atelier once, and for a few who never visited at all.

The virtual consultation

We meet by video, talk through your ideas, look at references together and agree a direction. Fabric swatches are couriered to you so you can see and feel them in your own light.

Guided measurements

You will receive a measurement guide and a video walkthrough. Where possible we ask that a local seamstress or tailor takes them, and we review photographs to confirm accuracy before cutting.

Fittings at a distance

For most remote brides we schedule one in person fitting in Cape Town, usually six to eight weeks before the wedding. Where travel is impossible we work through video fittings with generous seam allowances and a final local adjustment.

Delivery

Gowns are packed for travel and sent by insured courier, with tracking shared with you. Priority courier within South Africa is available.

Plan a little earlier

Add roughly four weeks to the standard timeline to allow for courier movement and measurement confirmation.
