How Much Should You Invest in Your Wedding Gown

How Much Should You Invest in Your Wedding Gown

Talking about money early makes the whole process calmer. We would far rather design brilliantly within your spending threshold than show you something you love and cannot commit to.

What actually drives cost

Three things. Fabric, which can range from modest to extraordinary. Hand labour, which is the single largest factor. And embellishment, because hand beading is measured in weeks, not hours.

Where to spend

If your threshold is fixed, put it into fit and fabric first. A perfectly constructed gown in a beautiful simple cloth outperforms a heavily beaded gown that does not fit. Embellishment can always be concentrated where it is seen most, such as the bodice and sleeves.

Where you can save

Simplify the train. Use beading as an accent rather than an all over treatment. Choose a lace that reads rich without being hand beaded. Consider customising a gown from our rail rather than commissioning from scratch.

Plan for the extras

Veil, undergarments, shoes for the hem measurement, cleaning after the day and any second look. Budgeting for these upfront avoids uncomfortable surprises later.

How payment works with us

A deposit secures your date in the production calendar, with the balance staged across the making of the gown. Everything is agreed in writing before any fabric is cut.
