Planning Your Nikkah Dress

Planning Your Nikkah Dress

A Nikkah dress sits at the meeting point of faith, family and personal style. It should feel appropriate for the ceremony and still feel like you.

Start with the setting

A mosque Nikkah, a home ceremony and a venue Nikkah followed by a reception all call for different levels of formality. Tell us where you will be standing, who will be present and how long you will be in the dress.

Coverage designed in

Full sleeves, a high neckline, an opaque lining and a length that does not need adjusting when you sit or kneel. We build these in from the pattern stage so nothing needs covering afterwards.

Working with hijab

If you wear hijab, the neckline and shoulder line should be designed with your scarf style in mind. We often make a matching scarf or cape in the same fabric so the look is complete.

Two ceremonies, one wardrobe

Many of our brides have a Nikkah and a separate reception. A detachable overskirt, a removable cape or a second veil lets one investment carry both days.

Timing

Standard Nikkah dress production is four weeks from confirmed design and measurements. Rush options are available when your date is closer. Full details are on our Nikkah page.
